We're thrilled to announce some exciting news! Sing Up Foundation has been accepted into the Arts for Impact match funding campaign, run by the Big Give and supported by New Philanthropy for Arts and Culture. This gives us a unique opportunity to maximise support for our "Chorus of Hope: Singing with Young Refugees and Displaced Children" project working alongside our partners SurreyArts.
How Match Funding Works
For one week only (18-25 March), every donation made to our project will be doubled through the Arts for Impact matching funds. This means your £10 becomes £20, your £50 becomes £100, and so on—effectively doubling the power of your generosity!
Our Project: Chorus of Hope
"Chorus of Hope" is our collaborative singing project working alongside our partners SurreyArts to create musical opportunities for young refugees and displaced children. Young refugees and unaccompanied minors arrive in the UK with rich stories and voices, yet face extraordinary challenges. Through Chorus of Hope, we'll create musical spaces where these young people express themselves, build connections, and celebrate their diverse backgrounds.
Our recent research conducted by the University of Limerick has demonstrated that singing can offer unique benefits for the mental health and wellbeing of displaced children but their is a great need to improve what's available. Your support will help us provide direct singing opportunities while developing a pioneering model to train practitioners and build a nationwide community making these valuable experiences accessible to more young refugees.
